Cyber Olympiad is a National Level examination based
on mental ability, logical and analytical reasoning
and general questions on computers and information
technology. The purpose is to test aptitude of the
participants for taking up a career in mathematics
and computer related areas.
Eligibility:
Students studying in classes 3 to 12 in English medium schools
affiliated with CBSE/ICSE and state boards can participate in
NCO. All students of Class 9 to 12 interested in pursuing career
in arts, commerce and science should participate since the
competitions aims to test the students' aptitude for computers.
The Competition is divided in Two Levels :
Level-1:
The level -1competition is written objective type test of 60
minutes duration comprising 50 objective type (Multiple choice)
questions.
Syllabus :
CBSE / ICSE / ISE and State board syllabus is followed for
setting the test papers. Syllabus & sample papers are
available on website
www.sofworld.org Question paper will have three sections :
Section I : Mental Ability
Section II : Logical and Analytical Reasoning
Section III : Computer
and Information Technology
All questions are objective (MCQ) type. The question papers are
prepared by SOF's panel of subject experts selected from all
over India.
Level-2:
Top 500 students will qualify for the level-2 from each class.
Online examination will be held at Reliance web stores. Admit
cards mentioning the examination centre details will be issued
to the qualified students through their respective schools.
Registration of Students:
Registration will have to be sent through the respective schools
in the prescribed Performa. Registration is open from July
onwards.
Awards & Recognition:
1. CQ (Computer Quotient) Report for every student.
2. Participation Certificate to every student.
3. Merit certificates for students appearing for
second level.
4. Performance wise many other prizes.
