Resonance PCCP students once again showed remarkable achievement in the series of success by winning 3 gold medals in 12th IJSO conducted by HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education). Out of the six who represented India in the final round , three students Yash Gupta, Lay Jain & Pawan Goyal are from Resonance PCCP KOTA study Center & all the three won Gold medals for India.
In the series of the highest winning medals country, India stood on second position after Taiwan. The final round of IJSO was held in Daegu city in South Korea between 1st to 10th December 2015 with golden moments.
CEO of Resonance Mr. Asheesh Sharma told that selection criteria in the first round of International Olympiads has been changed since the year 2014. Before this each state was given limited number of seats but now minimum eligibility criteria is applied and so the distribution of seats is equal through this process.
Head of Department Mr. Nilesh Gupta told that total 140 countries participated in the final round of IJSO. The results of the final round announced on 10th December 2015. IJSO exam is held in 5 stages every year. The first round is conducted by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) & other four are conducted by the HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education). First round is usually conducted in the month of November, second round in January-February, third round in May-June, fourth round in November month & Fifth/final round is conducted in the month of December.
He told that for the preparation of each round of IJSO, Resonance PCCP conducts special workshop such as Summer Workshop, Winter Workshop & Tapasya Workshop so that students can perform their best.
Winter Workshop “Zenith” is scheduled from 25th December 2015 to 9th January 2016.
